The Root Chakra is the source of stability providing a grounding physical energy, strong will, sense of security and good physical health.  This is the center where we ground ourselves and take care of our basic needs.  When the root chakra is balanced, one has good energy, a feeling of security and healthy body awareness.  The Root Chakra is the seat of survival and rules our primal instinct—used to access our primal life force.  This chakra stands for our inherited beliefs developed through our formative years.
